Feed Them To The Forest - Double A Side - Review
If there is one thing we have learnt from ten years working in the music industry it is that York is an absolute gold mine for incredibly talented musicians. And Feed Them to the Forest are a prime example of what we mean.
The band are releasing a physical Double A Side which features previously digitally released tracks 'Black Canary' and 'Six Seasons and a Movie' and two bonus tracks exclusive to the physical release, 'The Kids Need New Shoes' which is a live session and an acoustic version of 'Six Seasons and a Movie'.
Feed Them to the Forest are an incredible band, there is no question about that and they have a nailed on distinctive sound with a blend of harmonies and hooks made better by the link up in dual vocals.
I think the most impressive thing about this release is the fact that the live session is so well recorded and performed that it could pass as a studio recording. It is truly a testament to the bands capabilities.
Feed Them to the Forest are gaining a lot of recognition from the media lately and it may well only be a matter of time before they break through.
Armed with their unique sound, which is kind of a mixture of indie rock/emo rock/ pop-punk and some of the best artwork ever (see below) I think it will be a matter of time before the band become a household name.
The physical release is well worth getting hold of for the live session and acoustic track alone, let alone for the incredible, already released, singles. If you haven't heard of Feed Them to the Forest I strongly recommend you check them out, and whilst you are at it...check out everything coming out of York!
