Joy Shannon & The Beauty Marks - Aes Sidhe - Review

Joy Shannon & The Beauty Marks are an American based Celtic/Gothic band and are by FAR the most haunting thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

I don't really know where to start with this album, or what to even compare it to. If I had to label it and package it to you I guess it sounds something like if Kate Bush had unfortunately died, come back as a ghost, and had continued her illustrious song writing career.

It is incredibly unique, Joy Shannon's voice is beautifully haunting and chilling and I imagine her live shows are very theatrical to accompany the music.

Aes Sidhe is just one gigantic opera of an album, it is an incredible piece of work from an incredibly talented band doing something totally out of the ordinary, totally incomparable to anything from this dimension.
